Partners In Education
Since April 1, 2004 Midway has been an official Partners in Education
with Lonnie Jackson Academy.
Lonnie Jackson Academy is our "Neighborhood School" and we have developed a good relationship with the staff, as well as, with the children. Midway's members have been able to provide hundreds of new or almost new uniforms to the someof the children at Lonnie Jackson Academy. During Teacher or, as we like to call it, Staff Appreciation Week, Midway has shown our appreciation for them in several different ways, from goodie bags to desserts. We have provide sandwiches at some of their Parent Workshops and have helped in other ways at the school. Lonnie Jackson, in turn, has shown their appreciation of Midway by sending artwork and thank you cards made by the children. During the Holiday Season, we have had the pleasure of special concerts by the children.
We hope to continue being connected with our community through the Staff and the children of Lonnie Jackson Academy and are proud to be one of their
Partners In Education along with Cott Beverages and Staffing Solutions.

WHAT IS PARTNERS IN EDUCATION?
The Greater Columbus "Partners in Education" (PIE) was established in 1987 as a joint venture of the Muscogee County School District and the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Originally known as "Adopt-A-School," its purpose was to improve education by stimulating meaningful business and community involvement in public schools. Through individual partnerships with businesses, professional organizations, churches, and civic clubs, public and private schools are now able to tap resources to meet the individual needs of each student body, provide excellent educational programming, and recognize achievement.
