 The Sunshine Gang

(Anyone 50 or older)

The Sunshine Gang was organized in October of 2005 and followed by a trip
to the Julie Collins Museum in Auburn to view the quilts of Bee Gees Bend.
The sole purpose of the Sunshine Gang is to promote fun and fellowship
for those over the age of 50.  We bring our lunch and meet in the church
fellowship hall at twelve noon on the third Wednesday of each month.

During lunch we discuss places and activities of interest and plan a schedule
for the next month, trying to include at least three activities.  After lunch we
enjoy playing Mexican Train Dominoes.  The game can become pretty exciting!
Come and join us.

Here are some of the activities the group has enjoyed in the past:

*A day at Callaway Gardens concluded with a picnic supper and
a performance by "The Flying Circus."

*A picnic lunch and afternoon of dominoes with fellow members who
were staying in a cabin at F.D. Roosevelt State Park.  As we hiked
thru the park, the naughty geese gave us a "run for our money"-
bread crumbs, that is .

*Attended the 75th anniversary celebration of FDR’s life and death
at The Little White House in Warm Springs, Ga.

*Visited Warm Springs and enjoyed lunch at the Bulloch House.

 * Fall musical luncheons at St. Luke United Methodist Church

*Attendance to several family theatre productions, assorted
area musicals and a gospel sing.
We would love to have you join us but be sure to make reservations for each activity.

Feel free to invite a friend who is 50 or over to any of these events.
